C’\u00e9tait l\u2019un de ces matins o\u00f9 le froid semble figer le monde. Les rues \u00e9taient d\u00e9sertes, le givre recouvrait les trottoirs, et la ville dormait encore sous une fine couche de silence gel\u00e9. Dans une ruelle oubli\u00e9e, un chien errant marchait lentement, la t\u00eate basse, le ventre vide. Rien ne laissait pr\u00e9sager qu\u2019il allait changer une vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au d\u00e9tour d\u2019un conteneur, il s\u2019arr\u00eata net. Un son presque imperceptible \u2014 un g\u00e9missement. L\u00e0, envelopl\u00e9 dans une couverture trop fine pour la saison, un nourrisson grelottait, abandonn\u00e9. Le chien s\u2019approcha, posa doucement son corps contre celui du b\u00e9b\u00e9 pour lui donner un peu de chaleur, et se mit \u00e0 aboyer. Pas par peur, mais pour appeler \u00e0 l\u2019aide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce cri du c\u0153ur n\u2019est pas rest\u00e9 sans r\u00e9ponse. Quelques minutes plus tard, une femme descendit de son immeuble, attir\u00e9e par les aboiements inhabituels. Et ce qu\u2019elle d\u00e9couvrit lui coupa le souffle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce matin-l\u00e0, un chien sans ma\u00eetre est devenu un ange gardien.
