Ils la regardent toujours avec ce m\u00e9lange de surprise et de jugement.
Quand on entre dans un restaurant, j\u2019entends les chuchotements \u00e0 demi-mots. Certains l\u00e8vent les sourcils. D\u2019autres d\u00e9tournent les yeux trop lentement pour que ce soit innocent.
Mais moi ?
Je la regarde comme au premier jour, et je souris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma femme n\u2019est pas ce qu\u2019on attend d\u2019une \u201c\u00e9pouse id\u00e9ale\u201d, selon les standards absurdes que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 impose. Elle n\u2019a pas la silhouette que l\u2019on voit dans les magazines, elle ne se maquille que rarement, elle rit trop fort parfois, et elle dit toujours ce qu\u2019elle pense.
Et c\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment tout \u00e7a<\/strong> que j\u2019aime en elle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je me moque bien qu\u2019elle ne rentre pas dans une robe taille 36.
Je me moque qu\u2019elle pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les livres aux soir\u00e9es mondaines, qu\u2019elle d\u00e9teste les talons et qu\u2019elle rit aux blagues que personne ne comprend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce que je vois, moi, c\u2019est la femme qui m\u2019a sauv\u00e9 la vie sans jamais le savoir.<\/strong>
Celle qui, un soir o\u00f9 tout allait mal, a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une tasse de th\u00e9 devant moi en disant : \u00ab Tu n\u2019es pas seul. \u00bb<\/em>
Et je ne l\u2019ai plus jamais \u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quand elle s’endort sur le canap\u00e9 avec ses lunettes de travers, je la trouve belle. Quand elle d\u00e9fend quelqu\u2019un qu\u2019elle ne conna\u00eet m\u00eame pas, je la trouve grande. Quand elle pleure devant un vieux film, je la trouve humaine.
Et \u00e7a, rien ni personne<\/strong> ne pourra me l\u2019enlever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils peuvent parler, juger, critiquer.
Qu\u2019ils le fassent.
Moi, je l\u2019aime.<\/strong>
Et je n\u2019ai pas besoin qu\u2019ils comprennent pourquoi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parce qu\u2019elle est tout ce qu\u2019ils ne voient pas.
Parce qu\u2019elle est ma force tranquille, mon foyer, mon \u00e9vidence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et s\u2019il fallait le redire mille fois, je le ferais sans h\u00e9siter :
